These days, The World and humanity change much faster than in the past. In a world like that, without a doubt, I can say that you’ve encountered old-fashioned people who are your superiors in a hierarchical institution.  For sure, we shouldn’t overlook their proficiency in their job; however, it doesn’t mean that with the changing times, they don’t fall behind the needs of today. Seriously, some of them are still rocking a fax machine in the year 2025. It’s also an observable fact in today’s world of education. What does this mean for the youth and children, who are the future of tomorrow?

Students today are living in a world where tech evolves faster than a smartphone gets outdated. Each new generation has a different lifestyle, understanding, and needs. Students who learned foreign language teaching materials on CD-ROMs 15-20 years ago now meet their needs with various podcasts, video content, etc. The possibility of a teacher still using CD-ROMs is ridiculously terrifying unless your teacher is a bro-magnon, which is one of the first humans that Barney Stinson’s grand-grand…grandfather (True story).

But here's the thing, my friend: A teacher’s job isn’t just about drilling knowledge into young minds. It’s about preparing the next generation to own a world that’s changing at the speed of light. If the teacher is unable to prepare the child ready for adapt and adapting himself/herself with his/her own era, then the teacher is also responsible for the problems the child is going to face in the future. The future is no place for a bro who’s stuck in the past. So, let’s suit up because the world doesn’t wait for anyone, especially not those who refuse to evolve.
