SUIT UP, MacLaren's ELT Pub regulars! Your favorite BRO is back, and I’ve got a story that is going to be---wait for it---LEGENDARY!
Today we are entering the world of AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) techies. For those of you stuck in the Stone Age, it means that AR adds digital awesomeness to real-world stuff and VR transports you to an entirely different dimension of coolness.. It’s like having a wingman who rules reality itself! The advantage? It's an attention monster that can take more attention of students than hoties I met at the bar. The disadvantage? Well, technical issues will be always there, and finding quality content is hard sometimes. But CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
For our latest masterpiece, my legendary bros (Yunus Emre, Asude, Serra, Gülşen a.k.a Sevgi) helped me. we designed a trip to Madrid without spending a single penny. True story ;). We created a "City Guide" so that students scan QR codes to virtually visit the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, and the Prado Museum. We even sauced with some Spanish cuisine because who doesn’t love tapas?
Now, the process? HUH! We killed it and burried it. it was a piece of cake. But we dealt with finding a proper AR/VR tool for the Spanish Cuisine part. The internet doesnt reflect our vision. Since we couldn't find a specific AR tool for the food, we improvised and used a cool YouTube video instead.. The rest? Total breeze. We divided the work like a well-oiled machine, and we crushed it. While crushing the task we used "Canva, 360 Stories, Museo Del Prado, Youtube, and Google Docs". I especially nailed the Assure Plan.
In the future, I will definitely use AR and VR. Don't be a teacher stuck in the past. The world is changing fast. Suit up!
